Kokoda Map
Kokoda was produced in Adelaide by ex military cartographers at CartoTech Services with the field assistance of Duncan Chessell Adventures.
This double sided map shows both the historic and modern routes of the infamous World War 2 track. It includes significant points and photos from along the track plus several supporting maps and diagrams including terrain profiles.
Side 1 shows a portion of PNG from Pt Moresby on the west coast diagonally across the island to the east coast and provides a view of the region surrounding the track. Scale 1:250 000 topographic map.
Side 2 concentrates on the track itself from Owers Corner to the village of Kokoda. It is a topographic map with a scale of 1:80 000, contouring and hillshading. It also shows both the wartime and current village and track positions.
